Sexual Harassment
This course explains the new legal duty on employers to prevent sexual harassment, introduced by the Worker Protection Act 2023 which amends the Equality Act 2010. It covers what sexual harassment is, the steps employers and employees must take to prevent it, and the consequences when standards are not met. Learners will explore what “reasonable steps” mean in practice, why prevention is a shared responsibility, and how breaches can lead to tribunal claims, compensation increases of up to 25 percent, and enforcement by the Equality and Human Rights Commission. The course is designed to give staff the knowledge and confidence to recognise, challenge and report inappropriate behaviour, helping to build a respectful and safe workplace for everyone.
